entering Initial Teacher Education

Open to teachers in both the mainstream and
complementary/supplementary school sectors

* Day 1 aimed at new applicants to ITE only; Days 2-5 are
for new ITE applicants and those candidates beginning an
ITE course (GTP, PGCE, SCITT) in September 2008

Comenius East Midlands Community Languages Conference

Are you a teacher, tutor or manager involved in community language teaching? 
If so, this East Midlands Community Languages Conference is for you.

Following the success of our conference for teachers of bilingual learners in November 2007 we are pleased to invite teachers, tutors and managers of community languages in all sectors of education to this FREE conference.

There will be opportunities to find out about:

1. National projects
2. Provision of initial teacher training
3. New resources

and workshop sessions including:

1. Working towards your quality framework award for complementary/ supplementary schools – a qualification for lead advisers in the East Midlands
2. Interactive teaching activities using the Curriculum Guides
3. Progressing with speaking:  hands on opportunities to try out activities
   which support progress in Speaking Skills.
